About Us

  • Here at UCSC, Gamma Phi Beta is one of two international and multicultural sororities on campus.  We have so much history and tradition embedded in Epsilon Omicron, which strengthens our sisterhood both within our own chapter and with Gamma Phi's all over!

    International History:

Helen M. Dodge, Frances E. Haven, E. Adeline Curtis and Mary A. Bingham founded Gamma Phi Beta on November 11, 1874 at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. They were imaginative, courageous risk takers who cooperated unselfishly as they worked to achieve the same ideals Gamma Phi Beta emphasizes today. Today, Gamma Phi Beta is made up of over 130,000 beautiful and dynamic women and has 114 collegiate chapters and 156 alumnae groups.
