  • International History:

Gamma Phi Beta was founded by Helen M. Dodge, Frances E. Haven, E. Adeline Curtis and Mary A. Bingham on November 11, 1874 at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. They were imaginative, courageous risk takers who cooperated unselfishly as they worked to achieve the same ideals Gamma Phi Beta emphasizes today.

Today, Gamma Phi Beta is made up of over 165,000 beautiful and dynamic women with 209 charted chapters and more than 175 alumnae groups.

One of the great benefits of being in an international sorority is having connections across the country and Canada even after college. MySisterlink is a program specifically designed for Gamma Phi Beta sisters and opens many career and connection opportunities.

Gamma Phi Beta also has an international website. Here you can learn more about Gamma Phi Beta's mission and information about our headquarters.

The Crescent is Gamma Phi Beta's international magazine, holding information about events and programs held at various chapters. Our chapter of Epsilon Omicron was just recently mentioned in the spring 2010 edition: check us out on page 29!
